Pathways to Promise: Ministry and Mental Illness

The International Conference of War Veteran Ministers is a member organization of Pathways to Promise: Ministry and Mental Illness. In taking this step, ICWVM joins national faith groups which constitute its membership. Pathways seeks to be a way for faith groups to work together to support persons with mental illness and their families, especially in the context of local faith communities.

Pathways to Promise is sponsoring a conference in St. Louis, Missouri September 29 - October 1, 2009. Entitled "Companions on the Road to Recovery from Mental Illness: Pathways for the 21st Century, the Conference will provide an opportunity to explore, meet, and connect with other leaders in the context of speakers and workshops providing models of ministry and collaboration. The ICWVM Executive Committee has voted to provide two scholarships comprising the registration fee, food and lodging, for two members who wish to attend.
